Neil Pickering is an Adult Gerontology/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner serving in surgical oncology.

Neil Pickering is a Nurse Practitioner who has experience caring for a wide range of patients in the hospital/acute care setting. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Washington State University College of Nursing and his Master’s degree in Adult Gerontology/Acute Care from the Boise State University College of Nursing.

Neil takes a patient-centered approach to providing personalized support that aligns with each patient’s wants and needs. His goal is to ensure that patients have the best possible experience in the hospital setting. In his position with Summit Cancer Centers, Neil works closely with our cancer surgeons and the medical oncology team. His primary role is to assist patients that require surgery as part of their treatment plan, and be present for patients before, during, and after surgery. He also provides long-term follow up care with patients who have completed their cancer treatments.

When Neil is not providing outstanding care to his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a proud father of four and has an amazing wife who teaches elementary school. He enjoys coaching his kid’s sports teams and spending time outdoors mountain biking, snowboarding, or boating.
