Mackenzi is a Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Mackenzi Heaton is a Nurse Practitioner who has experience caring for oncology patients in the acute care setting. In her role with Summit Cancer Centers, she has the pleasure of walking with patients through their entire cancer journey. She works closely with the medical oncology team to coordinate care in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Her natural curiosity and desire for life-long learning has drawn her to this rapidly evolving specialty.
Mackenzi received her bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and master’s degree from Boise State University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is an active member of the local Oncology Nursing Society.
Mackenzi grew up in Cashmere, Washington. After moving to Spokane for nursing school, she was fortunate to find herself surrounded by wonderful friends and the beauty of the Inland Northwest. Deciding to establish roots in this community came easily for her and her husband. Mackenzi tends to dabble in a variety of hobbies. Some of her favorites include fishing, hiking, and riding her bike.
